Privacy policy
Inkora Stories is a pause, not a data machine. Here is what we store, why, and how to erase it. Data controller: Grupo Editorial Búho Real.
What stays on your device
You can read without an account. Without a session, your progress and saved works live only in your browser (localStorage); if you sign in, also in your account (see below). Your quotes, private notes, reflections, reading preferences (theme, typeface, size), your streak and offline downloads always stay in your browser (localStorage and IndexedDB): we neither see nor receive them.
Invitations: your browser creates a random code for your links (?ref=) and, if you arrived through someone else's link, keeps theirs. The code travels in the link you share, but we neither store it nor tie it to anyone: nobody, not even us, can see who invited whom. The name you write on your Reader's Pass never leaves your device either.
Clearing site data in your browser removes all of it.
What we store if you sign in
Sign-in is with Google. We receive your name, email and profile picture to create your profile. We never receive your Google password, and your name, email and picture are never shown to other readers.
While signed in we store your chapter progress, your saved works and the episode you are on in each one, the ratings you give a work, your pen name, your comments and reactions, your public shelf if you create one and, if you ask, your subscriptions. They let you continue on another device, take part in the conversation between readers and compute the weekly editorial pick from real ratings.
When you sign in on a device, what you read and saved on it is added to your account, without erasing anything on either side. On a shared device, keep in mind that its history will move to the account you sign in with.
You can delete your account yourself at any time, from your account menu or at inkorastories.com/cuenta/eliminar. Your profile and pen name, progress, library and public shelf, ratings, comments, reports and reactions and your newsletter subscription are erased immediately.
Public comments
Before your first comment you choose a pen name: it is the only thing other readers see. Pick one that does not identify you.
What you write in the margin of a paragraph is public: anyone can read it next to your pen name and the date. We store the text, the paragraph and the account that posted it so you can delete it and so we can moderate. We block links, emails, phone numbers and @handles so nobody shares contact details.
If you report a comment we store that report, and only the editorial team sees it. Your reactions to an episode are shown added to everyone else's, never with your pen name.
You can delete your comments at any time. If you delete your account, your comments, reports and reactions are deleted too. Your private notes never leave your device.
Public shelf
If you want, you can open a public shelf at /lector/ followed by your pen name. It stays closed until you open it, and you can close it whenever you like.
It only shows what you choose in your library: your pen name, up to six favorite works, a quote from an episode and the canvas. If you turn them on, also the work you are reading now (the last one you opened in the past month) and your latest margin comments, never the ones marked as spoilers. It has no photo, bio or free text, and it does not show up in search engines.
It never shows your Google name, email or picture, your full history, your private notes, your ratings or your streak. If you delete your account, your shelf is deleted with it.
Newsletter
To subscribe you sign in and tick the consent box yourself. We store your email, the account you subscribed with, where you did it (catalog or chapter) and the date of your consent. We send you a welcome email and, after that, write only when it matters. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link. When you unsubscribe we stop writing to you immediately and keep your email marked as unsubscribed, only so we never write to you again; if you would rather we delete it entirely, write to us.
Usage measurement, no tracking
We count our own anonymous events (for example: a chapter was opened, an episode was finished, a quote was shared, an invitation was opened, a path was chosen in an interactive story, a public shelf was visited) to learn which stories work. We use no persistent identifiers, sell no data, show no ads and load no third-party trackers.
When you open a work or a chapter we note which site you came from (only the domain, such as google.com) or, if you came from one of our social accounts, that account's code carried by the link (?c=). It tells us which posts bring readers; it says nothing about you.
Providers that process data on our behalf
Lovable Cloud / Supabase (database and authentication), Cloudflare (hosting and delivery network), Resend (newsletter delivery), Google (sign-in and Google Fonts typefaces, which receive your IP address when loaded).
These providers may process data outside your country; where the law requires, we rely on the appropriate contractual safeguards.
