inkora_last_read — remembers the last episode you opened so the home screen shows your work from the first instant. Lasts 1 year.

inkora_lang — remembers your language (ES/EN) so the page is served in the right one. Lasts 1 year.

inkora_path_<work> — in interactive stories, remembers what you chose in each episode so the text that depends on your decisions appears from the first instant. One per work; lasts 1 year.

If you sign in, the authentication provider also keeps the session in your browser (needed to keep you signed in).

Local storage (localStorage / IndexedDB)

Per-work progress, saved works, quotes and private notes, your reaction to each episode when it is not stored in your account, days with reading (for your streak), reading preferences, whether you dismissed the install-the-app notice, and novels downloaded for offline reading. Everything stays on your device.

Invitations and Reader's Pass: your invite code, the code of whoever invited you (if you arrived through a link), whether you saw the welcome, and the optional name on your bookplate.

If you sign in: which accounts this device has already synced with and which works are still waiting to be sent to your account (so nothing is lost if the connection drops).

Only while the tab is open (sessionStorage): a random number that groups the anonymous events of one visit and, if you came from one of our social accounts, its code (?c=). Both are deleted when you close the tab.

Sound

No audio is downloaded or played until you tap the sound button.

How to erase it

From your browser settings: “Clear site data” for inkorastories.com. We do not need consent for strictly functional storage, but you can always remove it.
